Ice Arena takes chill off winter with Sunday events 2:49 p.m., Dec. 18, 2003--Winter weekends can be dreary if time hangs heavy and the kids are bored. But, with the range of activities scheduled at the University of Delaware Ice Arena during January and February, cabin fever isnt likely to set in. Packing its Sunday public skating sessions with guests and giveaways certain to please all ages and interests, UDs Fred Rust Ice Arena promises more than just a few spins around the ice during the heart of winter. Below is the lineup of all the treats to come during Family Fun Sundays, co-sponsored by WSTW-FM and Arbys Roast Beef restaurants. Sunday, Jan. 4: From 1:30-2:30 p.m., Jungle John will appear with his traveling zoo and a face painter. Admission to public sessions is $5; skate rentals are $3. Parental supervision is required for children 12 and under.
