New car, $7,500 shopping spree to be awarded Senior Day

10:08 a.m., May 13, 2004--One lucky UD senior will win a new car, another will win a $7,500 Boscov’s shopping spree and other seniors will take home other great prizes from Friday’s Senior Day drawing to be held at 5 p.m., May 14, on The Green.

All graduating seniors are invited to enter the drawing by visiting [www.udel.edu/seniorday/] and clicking on “enter here.” Seniors who enter must be present at the 5 p.m. drawing to win.

Senior Day festivities are slated for 3-6 p.m., Friday, on the North Green. There will be fun, food, beverages provided by Coca-Cola, live music with Burnt Sienna, partying with classmates, giveaways and the drawings so that everyone’s a winner at the scene on The Green!

After the celebration on The Green, Senior Day will continue at the Stone Balloon on Main Street from 6-9 p.m.

Senior Day is sponsored by NUCAR, APS Wireless, Boscov’s, Happy Harry’s, Nextel and WSFS. The Delaware Undergraduate Student Congress (DUSC) has organized the event.

“This is going to be the best Senior Day ever, thanks to DUSC’s enthusiasm and hard work and the generosity of our sponsors!” Marilyn Prime, director of student centers, said.

“We appreciate the community sponsors who have pitched in to help make Senior Day a memorable and exciting send-off for the class of 2004,” Eric Nelson, advertising and marketing manager in the Office of Public Relations, said.
