'Lowdown on Blood Pressure' lecture set Dec. 4

12:25 p.m., Nov. 6, 2003--Controlled blood pressure reduces the risk of heart and kidney disease, as well as stroke. UD’s Employee Wellness Center will present a lecture, “Get the Lowdown on Blood Pressure,” to help faculty and staff learn how to avoid high blood pressure from 12:05-12:55 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 4, in 233A Purnell Hall.

Jo Melson, a family nurse practitioner from Christiana Care Health System, will discuss new blood pressure guidelines and ways to reduce the risk of high blood pressure. She also will answer questions after her presentation.

The registration fee is 10 Wellness dollars. Those attending will be entered in a drawing for a $20 gift card to Timothy's Restaurant.
