More than 60 plant varieties available

1:30 p.m., Aug. 13, 2003--UD’s Botanic Gardens Friends will hold a fall plant sale from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Fischer Greenhouse Laboratory.

Hibiscus x (old yella)
The annual plant sale features more than 60 varieties of fall and winter plants, shrubs and trees, including many hard to find native plants that are not usually available in local nurseries. Cultivars include Coreopsis rosea (sweet dreams), Echinacea purpurea (white swan), Philox (little boy) and Sedum (purple emperor).

Proceeds from the event help fund student scholarships and improvements to the Botanic Gardens located just west of Townsend and Worrilow Halls.

For a plant list or information about becoming a member of the Botanic Gardens Friends, call 831-2617, or visit [http://ag.udel.edu/PlantSale/].

Fischer Greenhouse Laboratory is located behind Townsend Hall, off South College Avenue.
