Photo exhibit shows UD women through the decades 5 p.m., March 10, 2004--An exhibit of photographs of women at UD through the decades, including students, alumnae, faculty and staff, will be on display Thursday and Friday, March 11-12, at the Perkins Student Center Gallery. The exhibit, which originated with an idea generated last fall by the Womens Student Caucus, is curated by graduate student Caroline Smith and student intern Emerald Christopher in UDs Womens Studies Interdisciplinary Program. It is part of the campuswide celebration of Womens History Month. The approximately 20 photographs, gathered from University Archives, show UD women from the early 1900s up to the present engaged in various activities, from maypole dances and homecoming festivities to scientific experiments. The show, which is sponsored by the Office of Womens Affairs, the Womens Student Caucus and the LGBT Community Office, will run from 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Thursday, March 11, and from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Friday, March 12. An opening reception with complimentary refreshments will be held from noon-1:30 p.m., Thursday. Both exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. For more information, call 831-8063.
