“Hoopin’ It!” basketball tournament set March 20

11:36 a.m., March 19, 2004--Special Olympics Delaware (SODE) will host “Hoopin’ It!,” a basketball tournament at UD’s Delaware Field House on Saturday, March 20. The event is the culmination of months of training for 400 athletes from across the state.

Competition will begin at 8 a.m., and opening ceremonies will take place at 10:45 a.m. The event is the first of two such tournaments from SODE. The second will feature school-based programs and take place on Wednesday, March 31, at the Delaware Field House.

“Hoopin’ It!” is sponsored by SODE and Aramark.
