UD men’s soccer to face Lehigh on Sept. 17

10:10 a.m., Sept. 15, 2003--The University of Delaware men’s soccer team will face Lehigh University at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Delaware Mini-Stadium.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens enter that game with a record of 2-2-1, following a 2-1 loss to Mount St. Mary’s College on Saturday at Emmitsburg, Md.

Mount St. Mary's took a 1-0 lead when John Libby scored on a header in the fifth minute of play.

The Mountaineers made it 2-0 on a second half breakaway goal by Keith Bord at 55:26.

Delaware scored its only goal of the game less than four and a half minutes later when junior David Egosi found the net off a cross from freshman George Severini. It was Severini’s first career assist.

In goal, UD junior goalkeeper Kyle Haynes had four saves.
