Shillinglaw, Wescott reach lacrosse coaching milestones

10:15 a.m., March 22, 2004--Two University of Delaware lacrosse coaches reached important milestones with weekend victories.

UD men’s lacrosse Head Coach Bob Shillinglaw earned the 200th victory of his career with the Fightin’ Blue Hens in a 7-6 upset of the U.S. Air Force Academy on Saturday.

Shillinglaw is 200-194 in his 26th season at UD, and is now 224-212 in his 29th season overall as a collegiate head coach.

UD women’s lacrosse Head Coach Denise Wescott earned the 100th victory of her career with the Fightin’ Blue Hens in a 15-7 win over the University of Denver on Sunday.

Wescott, in her 11th season at UD, has amassed a record of 100-79 record with the Hens and a record of 122-109 overall in 15 seasons of coaching.
