Former Blue Hen Iversen back in form for Raiders

Ryan Iversen
9:13 a.m., June 15, 2004--Former University of Delaware basketball star Ryan Iversen is back on the court for the Knox Raiders of the South East Australian Basketball League after missing several games because of an ankle injury.

Iversen returned to action with 32 points in a 109-98 victory over Dandenong on Saturday, June 5. He scored 26 points the following day in a 127-110 loss to Ballarat.

Iversen scored 19 points in a 120-79 victory over Australian Institute on Friday, June 11, and came back with 26 points in a 110-92 loss to Canberra on Saturday, June 12. Knox is in second place in the league’s South division with a record of 14-6.

Before being injured, Iversen was among the league’s leading scorers and was named Player of the Week in mid-April after a 59-point outburst in a game against Geelong.

The regular season will end Aug. 1, to be followed by the SEABL Finals Series that includes the top four teams from the South and East divisions. The winner will represent the league in the Australian Basketball Association tournament.
