A University of Delaware Center for Disabilities Studies report concerning the need for additional respite care for persons who provide care to family members with severe disabilities is featured in a story in the Nov. 21 Wilmington News Journal. Timothy Brooks, family support specialist with the UD center, told the newspaper, "There are two very clear issues for the state of Delaware and the country. The amount of respite care that is available is wholly inadequate. [And] the caregiver is under tremendous stress that tends to lead to medical and emotional problems." A Nov. 20 Associated Press report focuses on the possible impact of a Securities and Exchange Commission proposal on Delaware's position as a leader in corporate law, noting Tuesday's panel discussion at the University of Delaware hosted by Charles Elson, Edgar S. Woolard Jr. Chair and director of the John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance.
