Charles Elson, University of Delaware Edgar S. Woolard Jr. Chair and director of the John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance, is quoted in a story about the future of the New York Stock Exchange and reforms instituted by interim chairman John S. Reed that appears in the Jan. 2 issue of The New York Times. Structurally, he has come a long way but he needs to have institutional investor representatives on the primary board because they were the most harmed by the exchange violations, Elson said.
