UD celebrates International Education Week, Nov. 17-21 2:59 p.m., Nov. 17, 2003--Food, films and music from all over the world, talks by defense and foreign policy leaders, high tea and displays of student travel photos are just a few of the activities that will be available on campus as UD joins educational and cultural institutions in 45 countries and 35 states to celebrate International Education Week (IEW), from Nov. 17-21. IEW was established in 2000 by the Clinton administrations Department of Education and the Department of State to promote and celebrate multiculturalism and international education. Throughout the week, campuses, embassies and communities will be holding activities celebrating international education and diversity. Monday, Nov. 17 7:30-10 p.m., International Film Series presents Whale Rider, the 2003 World Cinema Audience Award winner at the Sundance Film Festival, in the Trabant University Center Theatre. 8 p.m., Concert, the Percussion/Marimba Ensemble and Delaware Steel perform in the Loudis Rectial Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building. There will be an admission charge.
