New guide to UD Ice Arenas available
10:35 a.m., Aug. 15, 2003--Attention ice skating enthusiasts of all ages: The 2003-04 Guide for UDs Ice Arenas is available in the lobby of the Fred Rust Ice Arena. To have a copy mailed to your home, call 831-2868. The free booklet includes a listing of upcoming special events, information about public skating, community skating and hockey lessons and building rental.
A schedule of the Blue Hens ice hockey clubs home games and information about ice hockey leagues for younger skaters is included. The guide also describes a new program being offered to children ages 7 and under called cross ice hockey.
The guide also includes information on
- Freestyle and ice dance programs available to skaters of all ages and skill levels;
- Ballet classes, essential for skaters looking to improve their flexibility and presentation;
- Artistry on Ice classes for freestyle skaters looking to develop a more advanced technique and improve their presentation and stroking; and
- Eight competitive synchronized skating teams that have made the UD their home.
