Delaware’s Cam Howard is CAA Rookie of the Week

Cam Howard
11:40 a.m., April 22, 2004--Freshman attack Cam Howard of the University of Delaware men’s lacrosse team has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season.

Howard scored two goals and had three assists as the Fightin’ Blue Hens lost a pair of conference games, 11-9 to Towson and 9-8 to Drexel.

Howard has 16 goals and 15 assists this season. He ranks second in the CAA in assists per game (1.25), third in points per game (2.58) and 10th in goals per game (1.33).

UD will complete conference play this Saturday with a game at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn. If UD wins and Towson defeats Drexel, the Hens will clinch a spot in the CAA playoffs scheduled to open May 5.
