Humor subject of wellness talk April 20

3:42 p.m., April 9, 2004--Humor therapist Elaine Lundberg maintains that good health can be a laughing matter, and that there is no better time to share this information than April, which has been designated as National Humor Month.

The health benefits of humor will be discussed by Lundberg in “No More Bummers,” a Wellness lecture to be held at 12:05 p.m., Tuesday, April 20, in Bacchus at the Perkins Student Center.

Laughter has been referred to as “aerobic exercise for the spirit.” Besides describing the many psychological and physical benefits of keeping a positive outlook, Lundberg will offer some tips on how participants can incorporate positive humor into their personal and professional lives.

A copy of Lundberg’s book, “No More Bummers! 121 Ways to Add Levity to Your Life,” will be given as a door prize to a participant.

The cost of the program is $10 Wellness dollars.

The program is cosponsored by the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program and the Office of Human Resources.
