Employee giving promotes excellence at UD

1:28 p.m., May 17, 2004--“Your contribution makes a difference!” is the message for faculty and staff who are being asked to contribute to the Annual Giving Program fiscal year (FY) 2005 Employee Campaign at UD.

“Gifts from faculty and staff encourage others to support the University’s mission and goals. Employees also may specify what program they wish to support, and 100 percent of their donation goes to that area, or they may give unrestricted gifts,” Robert Davis, vice president for University development and alumni relations, said.

Currently 226 UD employees are Delaware Diamonds, those who contribute $1,000 or more to UD each year, and last year more than 800 faculty and staff gave to the University.
Gifts made now through June 30 count toward FY 2004. After July 1, gifts count toward FY 2005.

Employees may contribute by check, credit card or payroll deduction. They may use the gift card they have been sent or make a contribution online at

For more information, call the Office of Annual Giving at 831-4601.
