Oct. 30 open house shows GCC’s capabilities

9:20 a.m., Oct. 24, 2003--UD’s Graphic Communications Center will host its 13th annual open house from 2-4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30. The event, which will be held in the General Services Building at 222 South Chapel St., is intended to give members of the campus community a broad understanding of GCC’s capabilities. Secretaries and personnel involved in ordering from GCC are particularly encouraged to attend.

In addition to GCC representation, the open house will include participation by the Publications, Campus Mail, Campus Delivery, Procurement Services and Supporting Services. Boise Cascade, the University’s office products supplier, also will have vendors on hand to offer product information and free samples.

GCC won two first-place awards, one second-place award and one honorable mention award for their printing quality at the In-plant Graphics and International Print Management Association Conference in Salt Lake City in June.

Light refreshments will be available and a poster depicting a snowy campus scene, printed by GCC on its five-color press, will be given away. For more information, call 831-2153.
