Master Gardener workshops run through May 20

1:15 p.m., Feb. 23, 2004--The Master Gardeners of New Castle County are offering a wide range of day and evening home gardening workshops this spring. All materials will be provided and sessions will be held at UD’s Fischer Greenhouse, unless otherwise noted.

Evening workshops

  • “Design Your Dream Landscape” (three-session course), 7-9 p.m., Mondays, Feb. 23, March 1 and 8, fee $48;
  • “Puzzled by Pruning,” 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 24, fee $15;
  • “I Hate My Lawn” (two-session course), 6:30-9 p.m., Monday and Wednesday, March 22 and 24, fee $24;
  • “Fresh Vegetables and You,” 7-9 p.m., Thursday, March 25, fee $15;
  • “For a Berry Good Time,” 7-9 p.m., Monday, April 5, fee: $15;
  • “The Square-Foot Vegetable Garden” (choose from two sessions), 7-9 p.m., Thursday, April 8, Urban Environmental Center, 1500 Walnut St., Wilmington, fee $15; or 7-9 p.m., Thursday, April 15, Fisher Greenhouse, fee $15;
  • “Water Gardening 101,” 7-9 p.m., Thursday, May 6, fee $15;
  • “Art in the Garden,” 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, New Castle County Cooperative Extension Office, 910 South Chapel St., Newark, fee $15;
  • “Gardening with Herbs,” 7-9 p.m., Monday, May 17, New Castle County Cooperative Extension Office, 910 South Chapel St., Newark, fee $15; and
