The popular plant sale kicks off with a preview slide presentation by John Frett, professor of plant and soil sciences and Botanic Gardens coordinator, from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, at the Girl Scout headquarters, next to Townsend and Worrilow halls on South College Avenue. Open to the public, the preview will highlight many of the plants offered and also will provide an opportunity to ask questions about the plants and other gardening topics. To prepurchase plants, a catalog with an order form is available online, along with helpful information, such as growing conditions about the plants, trees and shrubs and which plants are native to the area. To access the catalog, visit [http://ag.udel.edu/udbg/] and select plant sale. Orders must be completed by Friday, April 9. Preorders are processed in the order in which they are received on a first-come, first-served basis. Held in conjunction with Ag Day, the spring plant sale will be held from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, April 24, across from Fischer Greenhouse Laboratory behind Townsend Hall. On Thursday, April 22, a friends preview for UDBG members only will be held from 5-8 p.m in the Fischer Greenhouse Laboratory.
