Delaware graduate Nagy now stars in Arena League

11:42 a.m., Feb. 16, 2004--Former University of Delaware quarterback Matt Nagy has gotten off to a quick start in the 2004 Arena Football League season, guiding the Carolina Cobras to victories in their first two games.

Nagy was named the AFL Offensive Player of the Week after leading Carolina to a 67-41 victory over the Dallas Desperadoes in the opening week of play. In that game, Nagy threw 29 completions in 39 attempts for 282 yards and six touchdowns.

This week, Nagy threw a six-yard touchdown pass to Damien Groce as time expired to lift Carolina to a 54-53 victory over the Columbus Destroyers. Nagy had 26 completions in 39 attempts for 236 yards and five touchdowns.
