Fightin’ Blue Hens No. 3 in NCAA Division I-AA poll

4:23 p.m., Nov. 17, 2003--The University of Delaware football team is ranked No. 3 in NCAA Division I-AA, according to the Sports Network/CSTV poll announced Monday afternoon.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens jumped three spots after Saturday’s triple overtime victory over the University of Massachusetts. The Minutemen slipped four spots to No. 7.

McNeese State University continues to be ranked No. 1, followed by Wofford, UD, Montana, Southern Illinois, Colgate, Massachusetts, Northern Iowa, Penn and Western Kentucky.

Both UD and Massachusetts are members of the Atlantic 10 Football Conference, which placed three other teams in the top 25. Villanova, which the Blue Hens will face on Saturday, is ranked No. 18, Northeastern No. 21 and Maine No. 23.
