ENGAGE, engineering’s newsletter is online

4:30 p.m., May 14, 2004--The second issue of ENGAGE, the College of Engineering’s quarterly electronic newsletter, is now available at [chico.nss.udel.edu/deptnews/deptnews.html?3101].

ENGAGE is designed to give all the news of the college, featuring faculty, staff, alumni and students, as well as upcoming college events and lectures. The front page gives thumbnail sketches of news stories, which then can easily be accessed.

For example, among the features are articles on a chemical engineering scholarship endowed by alumnus Paul Schipper; the National Science Foundation’s Faculty Early Career Development Awards to Darrin Pochan, assistant professor of materials science, and Dan Weile, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering; the Young Investigator award from the Office of Naval Research to Anette Karisson, assistant professor of mechanical engineering; and an overview of design projects by mechanical engineering seniors.

Readers also will be able to search for past articles and make suggestions for new ones.
