Renovations, half-price meal plans, give Pencader new appeal 3:50 p.m., Oct. 31, 2003--To celebrate its recent renovations and increase its appeal, the Pencader Residential Dining Hall is offering low-cost dinners and half-price meal plans to UD students. Offering hot dinners (including warm desserts) for $5 from 4:30-7:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 3, through Friday, Nov. 7, the dining facility aims to attract off-campus students and residents of Christiana Towers who dont currently hold meal plans. Besides a week of $5 dinners, Pencader also is offering two mid-semester half-priced meal plans. One option, for $146, entitles students to three residential dining hall meals during each week. This breaks down to $6.48 per meal and is good for an entire semester. The other option, for $161, entitles students to 25 dining hall meals during the semester. This plan, which breaks down to $6.44 per meal, gives students the flexibility to carry unused meals from week to week and use more than one meal during a given meal period in order to treat a friend. To take advantage of the mid-semester, half-priced meal plan, students should sign up from 4:30-7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, Nov. 3-7, at the Pencader Residential Dining Hall.
