Dining Services continues delivery for employees

10 a.m., March 8, 2004--The lunchtime delivery service for UD employees, launched on a trial basis by Dining Services during Winter Session, has become so successful that it now includes a limited time bonus offer: Now through March 31, employees placing orders of $8 or more will receive a free two-liter bottle of Coke or Diet Coke with their meal.

Offered as a convenience for busy faculty and staff, the delivery service provides deskbound employees with the opportunity to order a select range of items from the food court at the Trabant University Center. Menu items include all selections offered on the standard delivery menu, which can be accessed online at [www.udel.edu/dining/delivery/].

“The people who used this service during Winter Session really liked it,” Cal Thetford, director of retail operations, said. “It meant that they didn’t have to leave their offices, which is nice, especially in the winter.”

Orders can be placed Monday through Friday by sending an e-mail by 10 a.m. on the day of delivery to: [trabantfoodcourt@udel.edu].

All orders must include the name of the person ordering, desired time of delivery (between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.), delivery address, phone extension and form of payment.

Accepted forms of payment include cash, points, Flex dollars and credit cards. Minimum orders are $5, and all orders are subject to a $1 delivery charge.

For more information on this service, call 831-0510.
