'Does God Exist' debated Sept. 30

2:38 p.m., Sept. 30, 2003--A dialogue, “Does God Exist?” between a theologian and a philosopher will be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30, in the Trabant University Center Multipurpose Room. Sponsored by Christian InterAction, the Secular Student Alliance and Intervarsity, the event is part of the series of “Inquiry for Truth” dialogues begun on campus in 1995.

Theologian, William Edgar, professor of apologetics at Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia, will speak in support of the existence of God. He is the author of “In Spirit and in Truth,” “Reasons of the Heart,” and “Taking Note of Music.”

Richard Hanley, an associate professor of philosophy at UD, will argue against the existence of God. He is the author of “The Metaphysics of Star Trek” and soon to be coeditor of “The Blackwell Guide to Philosophy of Language.”

This event is free and open to the public. For more information call 738-9191.
