Grad student robbed Nov. 9

11:46 a.m., Nov. 11, 2003--Newark Police are investigating the armed robbery of a UD graduate student at 10:35 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 9, in the parking lot of Colonial Garden Apartments in the 300 block of East Main Street.

The student was walking to his apartment when he was approached by a young man with a handgun who demanded his property. The student turned over his property and was told to run. He then went to his apartment and called police.

The suspect is described as 6 feet tall, around 20 years old, wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
