PTTP performs ‘Ben Hecht: A Child of the Century’ Jan. 16-18

3:54 p.m., Jan. 15, 2004--UD’s Professional Theatre Training Program (PTTP) presents “Ben Hecht: A Child of the Century,” by acclaimed playwright and actor
J. R. Sullivan, Friday, Jan. 16, through Sunday, Jan. 18, at the Hartshorn Theatre.

The play, in which Sullivan also stars, takes a close and humorous look at Ben Hecht and the events that shaped his colorful screenwriting career during the first half of the 20th century.

The performance schedule is: 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Jan. 16-17; and 12:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 17-Jan. 18.

All performances take place at the handicapped-accessible Hartshorn Theatre, located at the corner of Academy Street and East Park Place, in Newark. Individual tickets range from $7-$14. To make reservations or for more information, call 831-2204.
