Fear not, Blue Hen shoppers!

6:08 p.m., Dec. 30, 2003--Support for University of Delaware athletics is extremely high in the wake of the NCAA Division I-AA football title, and the UD Bookstores saw large crowds on Monday, Dec. 22, as fans of the Fightin’ Blue Hens purchased a wide range of items bearing the national championship logo.

Championship gear is available through the holidays at the HenEssentials Pro Shop in the Fred Rust Ice Arena at the David Nelson Athletic Complex on South College Avenue. Hours at HenEssentials are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 31; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Jan. 2; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 3, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 4. HenEssentials will be closed on New Year's Day, Thursday, Jan. 1.

The UD Bookstores will reopen Monday, Jan. 5, and at that time merchandise will be available at both the Perkins location and the YoUDee shop in the Trabant University Center.

The widest selection of championship items initially will be available at Perkins, with a selection of championship items available at the YoUDee shop in Trabant beginning the afternoon of Jan. 5. Additional merchandise will be added to the YoUDee shop throughout the week.

Merchandise availability at the beginning of the week will depend on the ability of vendors to produce and ship sufficient quantities to meet demand.
