Hen pitcher Beaupre wins national, conference honors

9:54 a.m., March 24, 2004--University of Delaware senior pitcher Jarame Beaupre has earned national and conference honors after throwing just the sixth no-hitter in the school’s 117-year baseball history in a 13-0 win over the University of Hartford on March 17.

Beaupre was one of three players throughout the nation to be named a Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week by Collegiate Baseball.

He also shared the Colonial Athletic Association Pitcher of the Week honors with Stacen Gant, a junior at George Mason University.

Against Hartford, Beaupre struck out seven batters and allowed just two base runners. For the season, he is 2-0 with a 0.78 earned run average.
