Blue Hen baseball team to battle George Mason 9:28 a.m., May 14, 2004--Following a 16-5 loss to Rutgers on Thursday afternoon at Bob Hannah Stadium, the University of Delaware baseball team will travel to Fairfax, Va., for a three-game weekend series against Colonial Athletic Association front runner George Mason. The Fightin Blue Hens will play George Mason at 3 p.m., Friday, at 2 p.m., Saturday, and at 1 p.m., Sunday. The Hens enter the weekend series with a record of 28-18 overall and 10-7 in the CAA. George Mason is 31-13 overall and 15-3 in the conference. In Thursdays game, Rutgers broke on top with a run in the first, seven in the second and two more in the third to take a 10-0 lead. UD was led by center fielder Steve Van Note, who had two hits, including his 10th home run of the season, and four runs batted in.
