Nomination deadline for top alumni awards is Jan. 23

8:57 a.m., Nov. 26, 2003--The Office of Alumni and University Relations is seeking nominations for the three major alumni awards programs—the Alumni Wall of Fame, Outstanding Alumni Awards and the Presidential Citation for Outstanding Achievement.

Alumni Wall of Fame
In 1984, the University and the University of Delaware Alumni Association established the Alumni Wall of Fame to recognize the many notable achievements of UD alumni. Outstanding professional and public service achievements by UD graduates are honored. The Wall of Fame is located in the Alumni Lounge of the Perkins Student Center.

Outstanding Alumni Awards
The Outstanding Alumni Awards are presented annually at Homecoming to an alumnus and alumna in recognition of their exemplary volunteer work on behalf of the University and the University of Delaware Alumni Association. The 2003 recipients, Class of 1952 alumni Dick Harris and Ellen McQuaid Harris, were honored at Homecoming, Oct. 18.

Presidential Citation for Outstanding Achievement
The Presidential Citation for Outstanding Achievement honors UD graduates of the last 20 years who exhibit great promise in their professional career or public service activities. Nominations also are welcome for prospective members of the University of Delaware Alumni Association Board of Directors.

The deadline for nominations for all three awards is Jan. 23.
