Atlantic 10 Conference establishes two divisions 10:20 a.m., Oct. 10, 2003--The Atlantic 10 Football Conference has announced that, with the addition of the Towson University football program, it will split into two divisions beginning in the 2004 season. The South Division will consist of the University of Delaware, James Madison, Richmond, Towson, Villanova and William & Mary. The North Division will consist of Hofstra, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Northeastern and Rhode Island. Beginning next season, each Atlantic 10 team will play an eight-game conference schedule, which will include five divisional games and three games against teams from the opposite division.
