Silicon Graphics showcase at DBI Oct. 21

10:25 a.m., Oct. 16, 2003 --The SGI Mobile Innovations Center, a tractor trailer rig that serves as a showcase for the latest technology solutions for high-performance computing, storage and visualization, will visit the Delaware Biotechnology Institute on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Displays will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with sessions hourly. The Mobile Innovations Center will be parked behind DBI, which is located in the Delaware Technology Park off Wyoming Road in Newark.

In conjunction with the displays, DBI will offer tours of its unique SGI-driven Visualization Studio, which features three-dimensional immersive research projects including bioimaging, molecular simulation and biomedical imaging.

There will be presentations concerning SGI products, image based drug trials, the optimization of high performance computing resources in the life sciences and research collaboration through high performance visualization.
