Pavement repairs begin on I-95 and Route 1 ramps June 28 The Delaware Department of Transportation has announced that night work will begin on Monday night, June 28, on two ramps in the vicinity of the Christiana Mall. Patching and pavement operations from 8 p.m.-5 a.m. will take place starting Monday, June 28, through Thursday, July 8, at the following locations:

4:58 p.m., June 25, 2004--The Delaware Department of Transportation has announced that night work will begin on Monday night, June 28, on two ramps in the vicinity of the Christiana Mall. Patching and pavement operations from 8 p.m.-5 a.m. will take place starting Monday, June 28, through Thursday, July 8, at the following locations:

Northbound Route 1 ramp to I-95 southbound; and
Southbound I-95 ramp to Route 1 southbound, which will include the service road in the area.

Message boards have been placed to inform motorists of these closures. Motorists can expect delays, especially during the evening rush hour when traffic is the heaviest.

Message boards will be in place on Monday morning, June 28, identifying the established detour route, Route 273 East to Route 1.

Inclement weather will affect this project. There will be no work performed July 2-5.
