In the women’s match, Delaware got its lone victory at No. 1 singles, where Jessica Wilkes improved to 11-5 on the season with a 7-6 (8), 7-5 win over Sylvia Vojtisek.

Embry-Riddle won four other singles matches in straight sets but the Hens almost pulled out a win at No. 6 singles, where Jessica Anaya got past Delaware’s Julia Shapiro by a 6-3, 4-6 (10-7) score.

The closest doubles match came at No. 1 where Vojtisek and Liza Francis edged the Hens’ Wilkes and Beth Principe 8-4.

Stetson dominated the men’s match as the Hatters won all six singles matches in straight sets and were easy winners in two of the three doubles matches.

Delaware’s Dustin Lewis had his three-match win streak snapped as he moved up to the No. 2 spot from his usual No. 4 position and dropped a 6-0, 6-4 decision to Aleksander Antonijevic.

The closest singles match saw Delaware’s John Tully fall 7-5, 6-1 to Christian Moe at the No. 1 spot. The closest doubles match was also at No. 1 where Tully and Josh Ditman dropped a 9-7 verdict to Mario Cayo and Birger Soiland.

The UD teams will return from Florida for four Colonial Athletic Association contests. They will compete at Drexel University on Monday afternoon, April 7, then will return home for matches against Towson on April 9, Hofstra on April 11 and James Madison on April 12. The three home matches all begin at 3 p.m.
