8:40 p.m., March 27, 2003--Some 131 faculty and staff members were honored for their service to the University of Delaware at a Service Awards luncheon Wednesday, March 26.
Forty-eight faculty and staff were recognized for five years of service; 29 for 10 years of service; and 54 for 15 years of service to UD.
“Thanks to you, the University of Delaware is a healthy and vibrant place well-known for its service to students, its leading-edge technologies and its academic excellence,” UD President David Roselle said.
“The remarkable things that go on here often go unrecognized in the daily rush of activity, but I want you to know that frequently I hear from alumni and friends who recount how they've been inspired, encouraged or assisted by faculty, by staff members and by professional staff.”
