William & Mary edges UD women's soccer team |

12:45 p.m., Oct. 28, 2002--Lindsey Vanderspiegel scored in the 41st minute to give the College of William & Mary a 1-0 victory over the University of Delaware in a Colonial Athletic Association women's soccer match Sunday, Oct. 27, at Delaware Mini-Stadium.
Vanderspiegel connected on a free kick from 19 yards, lofting her shot into the upper left-corner for the game-winning goal at 40:33.

Lindsay Shover made three saves for the Blue Hens in a losing effort.
Nikki Villott stopped three shots to pick up a shutout win for conference-leading William & Mary (12-4-1, 8-0 CAA).
The Blue Hens outshot the Tribe 7-6 and held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Delaware (8-7-1, 3-3-1 CAA) will return to action Friday, Nov. 1, when the Hens will visit Colonial Athletic Association rival Drexel at 2:30 p.m.
In action Friday night, Oct. 25, at Delaware Mini-Stadium, the Hens topped Old Dominion University 2-0 on goals by Francesca Termini and Maria Pollaro scored five minutes apart in the second half.
After a scoreless first half, Termini put a shot into the lower left corner of the new from 10-yards out at 50:51.
Pollaro gave the Blue Hens some breathing room when she dribbled past three Monarch defenders, turned and fired a shot into the left side of the net at 55:52.
Delaware has scored all but three of its 22 goals this season in the second half.
Shover made three saves in net to pick up her fifth shutout of the season, and third in CAA action.
Kristen Baily stopped five shots in a losing effort for Old Dominion (5-10-1, 2-4-1 CAA).
The Blue Hens outshot the Monarchs, 13-6, and held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
