Swim teams pool talents

The University of Delaware men’s and women’s swimming teams will compete against Georgetown University at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, in Harry Rawstrom Natatorium in the Carpenter Sports Building.

This is the final meet before the Colonial Athletic Association championships, to be held Feb. 21-24 at George Mason University.

Among the leading competitors for the women’s team are Jennifer Haus, who swims the 200 freestyle, and Julie Van Deusen, a diver who recently broke the one-meter points record set in 1988-89.

Top men are Bryan Kahner, Kevin Weisser and Rick Dressel, who swim freestyle events, and Lavar Larks, a diver.
