Three University of Delaware softball players have been named first team All-Colonial Athletic Association, and a fourth has been named to the second team.
Honored were outfielder Mandy Welch, second baseman Laura Streets and Amanda Cariello, who made the all-conference team as a designated player.
UD third baseman Melissa Basilio was named second team All-CAA.
Welch is the all-time Delaware hit leader, with 205. This season, she batted .355, with 49 hits, 12 doubles, 21 runs scored and 15 runs batted in.
Streets hit .350, with 48 hits, 12 doubles, one triple, two home runs, 17 runs scored and 23 runs batted in.
Cariello hit .294 and was also the Hens' top pitcher, going 12-11 with an earned run average of 2.37.
Basilio hit .297, with 33 hits, four doubles, two home runs, 14 runs scored and 9 runs batted in.
The CAA Player of the Year was Brooke Clyde of Towson. Stacy James of George Mason was Rookie of the Year, Debbie Botke of Drexel was Defensive Player of the Year and Beth Fulcher of George Mason was Coach of the Year.
