Ralph J. Begleiter, Rosenberg Professor of Communication, will be the keynote speaker at the first Downtown Newark Partnership (DNP) dinner on Wednesday, April 17, in the Trabant University Center.

A reception, which will include a slide show presentation of images from downtown Newark, will be held from 5:30-6:30 in the Trabant University Center, followed by a dinner at 6:45 p.m. in Multipurpose Room A.

Begleiter will share these experiences, which include the handover of Hong Kong by the British to China and the signing of the Bosnia Accords from Dayton, Ohio, in 1995.

The DNP, chaired by Jim Streit, publisher of the Newark Post, is a partnership of Newark residents, businesspersons, city government and the University of Delaware.

Tickets are $30, and seating is limited. For ticket information call 366-7030 or 737-0724.
