World renowned opera singer to perform May 5

World renowned opera singer Marie Hadley Robinson will give a recital on Sunday, May 5 at 8 p.m., in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building.

The program features music by composers of African descent. Included are songs influenced by the poet Langston Hughes and the works of Moses Hogan and Duke Ellington.

Robinson is an associate professor in the UD’s Department of Music. Most recently, she has performed the role of Aida with Opera International in Mexico, Hong Kong, Marseille and Lyon and with OperaDelaware.
