Harlem Globetrotters to dribble into The Bob March 18

The Harlem Globetrotters will perform their trademark feats of basketball wizardry at 7 p.m., Monday, March 18, at the Bob Carpenter Sports/Convocation Center.

Tickets range in price from $14.50 to $77.50 and are available at the University of Delaware box offices at The Bob and the Trabant University Center, and through Ticketmaster.

The 2002 Globetrotters schedule is called the “Unforgettable” world tour, according to Mannie Jackson, chairman and owner, because the team has been providing unforgettable entertainment for more than 70 years.

“The Globetrotters experience is great basketball, terrific family entertainment and represents a return to classic American values,” Jackson said.

The Globetrotters organization was founded in 1926 and played its first game on Jan. 7, 1927, in Hinckley, Ill. Star players have included Wilt Chamberlain, Goose Tatum, Meadowlark Lemon, Curley Neal and Lynette Woodard.
