Leading the Campaign for Delaware for the College of Business and Economics is the College's Campaign Steering Committee, made up of 10 distinguished alumni and friends of the University:
Co-chairsJohn W. Field Jr.
An active friend of the University, Field is chair of the College's Visiting Committee. With J.P. Morgan since 1966 in various positions in corporate finance and operations, Field is the former CEO of J.P. Morgan Delaware.
Robert V.A. Harra Jr.A 1971 graduate of the University with a degree in accounting, Harra is president and chief operating officer of Wilmington Trust Co. and is a member of the College's Visiting Committee. Harra has held various offices in the University Alumni Association and, in 1992, received the Outstanding Alumnus Award. MembersHenri L. BertuchA 1954 graduate of the University with a degree in business administration, Bertuch is the retired chair and CEO of Viatech Publishing Solutions. A member of the College's Visiting Committee, he is a recipient of the College's Alumni Award of Excellence. |
Arthur B.ChaseA 1962 graduate of the University with a degree in economics, Chase is director of W.L. Gore & Associates. He has been a generous benefactor of the University and, with his father, the late Gilbert Earl Chase, a 1933 graduate, established the Gilbert E. Chase Family Scholarship. Anthony R. GolandA 1983 graduate of the University with a degree in business administration, Goland is a director of McKinsey and Co., a leading management consulting firm. He is a former member of the University's Board of Trustees and is a member of the College's Visiting Committee. Bruce L. HammondsAn active friend of the University and the spouse of a UD graduate, Hammonds is a member of the College's Visiting Committee. Hammonds is senior vice chair and chief operating officer of MBNA America Bank. J. Nathan HillA member of the University Parents Advisory Board, Hill also serves as a member of the College's Visiting Committee. With 25 years |

William H. IredaleA 1965 graduate of the University with a degree in business administration, Iredale is the retired president, CEO and owner of Fitzwater Inc., a major consumer packaged goods company. He is a recipient of the College's Alumni Award of Excellence. Robert J. LipsteinA 1977 graduate of the University with a degree in accounting, Lipstein is a partner in KPMG Peat Marwick. Lipstein has been an adjunct professor of accounting at UD and served on the College's Accounting Advisory Board. He is a recipient of the College's Alumni Award of Excellence. W. Alvon Sparks Jr.A 1958 graduate of the University with a degree in accounting, Sparks is executive vice president and chief financial officer of GEICO Corp., and serves as chairman of the board of several of the corporation's wholly owned subsidiaries.
