Fall 1999

Chaplin Tyler, friend and major benefactor of the College of Business and Economics, celebrated his 101st birthday at a luncheon party on March 26. Joining the celebration were Kenneth Biederman, dean of the College; Ken Lewis and Howard Garland, Chaplin Tyler Professors of Business; and Chris Hogenmiller, administrative assistant. Tyler was presented a UD chair, a book about the Delmarva estuaries and a box of chocolates. Tyler remarked that he was looking forward to his lecture assignment in the fall, when he will address undergraduate business students.
