Lyndon O. Barton, EG '72M, of Newark, a former senior engineer with the DuPont Co., has combined his artistic talent and his engineering skills to create a line of standup greeting cards. Barton, a native of Guyana, South America, who holds four U.S. patents on various game accessories, has applied for a patent for the design of his self-supporting cards. His artwork on the greeting card line ranges from traditional holiday scenes to drawings of landmarks in his hometown of Buxton, Guyana. Barton, who recently displayed his drawings and paintings in a one-person show at the Wilmington (Del.) library, is the author of Mechanism Analysis and a mechanical engineering and math lecturer at area colleges and universities.
