Recognition for outstanding teachers

Each year since 1965, Delaware has presented its Teacher of the Year award to an outstanding educator. The honoree is chosen from among 19 teachers previously selected to represent each public school district in the state. In addition to statewide winner Caridad Alonso, the nominees and their districts this year are:
