A centennial celebration

Margaret Ethel Dunton Betts, CHS ’28, of Gulf Breeze, Fla., celebrated her 100th birthday in January with family and friends at Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church, where the Sunday School Circle presented her the first afghan the group crocheted as part of its Project Warmth activity. Betts, who first attended the College of William and Mary, then transferred to UD, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences. She and her husband, Ralph, moved to Gulf Breeze in 1987. Since losing her home to Hurricane Ivan in 2004, she and her two dogs have lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Cliff Roltsche.
