New board members added

Six new members were appointed July 1 to the Alumni Association Board of Directors and will serve for three years. They are:

Charlene Benson CHEP '93M, director of supporting services at the University, has served on the CHEP Alumni Board and is a member of the 1743 Society. She lives in Landenberg, Pa.

Theresa Leefers AS '98 currently serves on the Alumni Association's Outreach Committee and was chairperson of the 2004 Delaware Women's Conference held on campus. A mortgage specialist with Norwest Mortgage, she lives in Wilmington, Del.

Sue Sears CHEP '78 and her husband, Jim, BE '70, served two years as co-presidents of the Parent Board and are members of the Delaware Diamond Society. Their son, Chris, graduated this spring from UD with a major in educational studies and a minor in psychology. Sue is vice president of marketing with Kimberly-Clark Corp. and lives in Media, Pa.

Alan Brayman BE '73 is the vice president and treasurer of the Susquehanna Pfaltzgraff Co. in York, Pa. A football season ticket holder and a member of the 1743 Society, Brayman lives in Lancaster, Pa.

Michael Fleming AS '90, product director at Glaxo Smith Kline Pharmaceuticals, has served on the Awards Committee and currently serves on the Scholarship Committee. A member of the 1743 Society, he resides in Greenville, Del.

Stewart Ramsey Jr. AG '85, '88M, is the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources Alumni Association board representative and serves on the Nominating Committee. Senior economist and director for United States Agriculture Services at Global Insight in Crum Lynne, Pa., Ramsey is a member of the 1743 Society and lives in Wilmington, Del.
