Foundation honors victim of 9/11
Larry Catuzzi, HNS '58, CHEP '66M, and his wife, Barbara, of Houston, Texas, have created the Lauren Catuzzi Grandcolas Foundation in honor of their daughter who died in the crash of Flight 93 on Sept. 11, 2001.
Grandcolas, a San Rafael, Calif., resident, was returning home from the funeral of her grandmother in New Jersey when terrorists high jacked the plane.
The foundation sponsored a fund-raising concert last year that raised $50,000 for the neonatal care unit at Texas Children's Hospital. In addition, it has raised money for a birthing room at Marin General Hospital, Greenbrae, Calif., and recently awarded a $4,000 college scholarship based on academic achievement, commitment to physical activities, involvement in the community and a strong sense of independence.
Contributions may be made to the foundation in care of Katherine Garner, Andrews & Kurth LLP, 600 Travis, Suite 4200, Houston, TX 77002.
