Flower power in philly

Sam Lemheney, AG '90, associate show designer, and Jane Pepper, AG '76, president of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, are crucial to the success of the Philadelphia Flower Show, held this year from March 2-9. Known as the largest indoor flower show in the world, the Philadelphia show is in its 174th year. Pepper serves as show manager, and Lemheney, who previously was area manager of Epcot Center's International Flower and Garden Show, worked this year with Ed Lindemann, longtime designer and director of the Philadelphia show, who will retire in 2004. The prize-winning tropical display behind them was created by Troy Taylor of the Penny Hill Flower Shop in Wilmington, Del., nephew of UD's landscape engineer, Tom Taylor.
